APEC is a 21-member trade forum characterized by strong public-private partnerships. It represents 55% of the world's GDP and includes China, Russia, Indonesia, Mexico and the U.S., among others. The forum’s ongoing health initiatives include regulatory convergence, anti-counterfeiting, codes of business conduct, and action plans to address NCDs. APEC Heads of State recognize that healthy populations are crucial for sustainable economic development and innovative growth. This session will explain APEC’s health workstreams and how they will promote profitability for life science companies in this important region of the world.
