Mikel Arriola is Commissioner of the Federal Commission for the Protection from Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) which is responsible for drug approval in Mexico. Commissioner Arriola has previously served as Head of the Unit for Revenue Legislation of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, responsible for developing legislative projects for federal revenue. He also served as advisor to the Minister of Finance and subsequently as Under-Secretary for revenue. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Public Administration from the London School of Economics as well as a Master's in Law from the University of Chicago.
