Amy L. Grogg, PharmD, is President of Xcenda. Dr. Grogg leads the company's strategic direction to ensure that Xcenda consistently advances its leading market position. Dr. Grogg joined Xcenda in 2005 and was previously Vice President, leading the Reimbursement and Value consulting teams. Dr. Grogg's extensive experience includes more than 150 unique research studies and strategic marketing engagements. Her work in the pharmaceutical industry has included pharmacoeconomics, quality of life, and outcomes management research as well as presentations and publications for developmental and marketed products in hypercholesterolemia, oncology, analgesia, neurology, osteoporosis, pain management, psychiatry, neurology, gastroenterology, and many other therapeutic areas. Dr. Grogg is the Chair of Research Committee for the Foundation of Managed Care Pharmacy and she is the immediate past chair of the Institutional Council for the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research. Prior to joining Xcenda, Dr. Grogg held various internal and regional positions within the Outcomes Research group at Janssen Pharmaceutica. She most recently led the Outcomes Research and Medical Informatics groups responsible for all health economic, quality of life, and patient-reported outcomes research studies as well as statistical analysis support for Medical Affairs activities for all marketed products from Janssen Pharmaceutica in the US. She was a member of the Medical Affairs Management Team, Chairman of the J&J Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research Council, and Chairman of the Janssen Women’s Leadership Initiative. Dr. Grogg received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University, Southern School of Pharmacy and completed a clinical practice residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. She also completed a 2-year fellowship in pharmacoeconomics at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Corporation and the University of South Carolina.
